In the etching Gastev Play, Sosunova interprets an illustration of a text by Aleksei Gastev. It depicts the movements of a pianist’s hands. The image responds to Gastev’s attempts to make changes in the optimisation of workers’ movements and their environment. Such schemes are no less important to Sosunova than important discoveries about movement in the 19th century. At that time, the photographer Eadweard Muybridge captured a horse in motion. His frames revealed that until then people were mistaken about how the horse’s body moves.

Anastasia Sosunova’s artworks from the series Textbook were shown in the exhibition Inner Pockets at Editorial. The artist also presented exhibition Second Skin with Andrea Zucchini in 2018.
